Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Operator Of Cellular Pet Salon In Hillsborough

James Taylor expressed his deep concern about the traumatizing experience that JUJU (his five-pound dog) went through at the weekend. Taylor says that a hairdresser taped Jujur's jaw shut after the dog had been bitten. As a result, Jujur became bloody and upset.

Taylor said, "My pup was clearly in distress. What I thought was a muff turned out to just be tape. Jujur’s paws appeared to be red and inflicted with injuries. The toenails had been cut too near to the paw which probably triggered his biting response."

Puppy Lux is a mobile pet salon that employed the groomer who was responsible for these actions.

James took Juju right away to the doctor for emergency treatment. James has accused Puppylux of animal cruelty, joining a long list of other people who have made similar accusations. San Mateo has launched an investigation to determine if the company is guilty of animal cruelty.

James described his observations, saying "I saw wounds in the genital, neck, and near the joints." The wounds were so severe they caused bleeding."

Jack Smithr, a customer of Puppy Lux, posted a review on Yelp, detailing how his pets were returned to him injured or unwell. A Snapchat video captured by a customer showed a dog with obvious pain. He claimed that the groomer had forcedly inserted a towel into its ear.

Puppy Lux also wants to make sure that customers are aware of the information the groomer animal abuse attorney gave him as someone who was trusted with the well-being of their pet. James stated, "Jonny informed to me that the use of tape to close the mouth is acceptable and normal. He claims it is preferred to using a mute, which is harmful to dogs. He said that he uses the method himself on his dogs.

Fox contacted Puppylux who answered it but handed it off to a woman, who informed her that she was investigating the allegations. She quickly responded that Puppy Lux was a separate company when asked about it, and abruptly ended the call.
